I’m a writer living in Western Colorado with my wife, daughter, and dog. I work long-formgform journalist, humor columnist, scriptwriter/screenwriter, and ghostwriter. I also try to climb as much as possible.
I write for National Geographic and National Geographic Adventure.
I publish a popular rock-climbing website, Evening Sends, named one of the Top 10 climbing blogs and lauded as “Literary climbing journalism from one of the genre’s top writers” by Outside Magazine.
I’m a host of the Run Out Podcast.
I authored “Sport Climbing: From Top Rope to Redpoint, Techniques for Climbing Success,” which won the National Outdoor Book Award: Best Instructional.
I am also on the Advisory Board for the American Alpine Journal.
